The 174th Meeting of the Dengue Expert Advisory Group (DEAG) Punjab, held on 30th August 2025, convened in the DEAG Meeting Room at Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Lahore, under the chairmanship of Prof. Muhammad Khurram, Chairperson DEAG and Prof. Zohra Khanum, Principal SIMS / Co-Chairperson DEAG.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Secretary (Technical), SHC&ME Department, representatives from the Punjab Healthcare Commission, Health & Population Department, Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), and other esteemed DEAG members—both in-person and online.

The following agenda items were discussed:

1. Approval of the minutes from the 173rd DEAG Meeting held on August 20th, 2025.

2. Presentation on the Current Dengue Situation in Punjab by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) / Institute of Public Health (IPH) and Prof. Waseem Akram

3. Progress Update on the Development of Online Assessment for DEAG Training Certification and improvements in DEAG website by PITB

4. Uniform standardized dengue death certificate to be issued by DEAG mortality review committee

5. Seminar on DEAG operations, policies, and dengue fever reporting for clinical and administrative focal persons, General Practitioners and private hospitals in Lahore and its adjacent districts

6. Discussion regarding research updates from Dr. Asma Ali Khan
