The School of Nursing, Services Hospital, Lahore was established in 1989 under the administrative control of the Medical Superintendent, of the concerned hospital.  After that the Nursing School were separated. The administrative control of Nursing School were given to the Director General, Nursing, Punjab, Lahore and   declared the Principal as D.D.O to administrate separately because the separate   allocation of the budget by the Government. Subsequently the Schools of Nursing were placed under the administrative control of the Principal/Chief to the concerned teaching hospital.

The Government of the Punjab, Health Department, Lahore had sanctioned 158 stipendiary seats in the School of Nursing, Services Hospital, Lahore at that time. Now, the Government of the Punjab, SHC&ME Department, Lahore has upgraded the School of Nursing into College of Nursing, in all over the Punjab and converted the diploma into 04 year Degree programme with 100 Nos. stipendiary seats in each class

ADMISSION POLICY/CRITERIA

The Director General, Nursing, Punjab, Lahore has given the advertisement in the newspapers. The selection of the candidates made strictly on merit basis and medical fitness of the candidates by the Government of the Punjab, SHC&ME Department, Lahore.

Currently 06 batches of the BSN Student Nurses (100 of each) are   getting the training at College of Nursing, SIMS/Services Hospital, Lahore in Morning & evening sessions.
