On July 16, 2025, an advanced hands-on workshop on “Enhancing patient care in Surgical ICU by introducing bedside Ultrasound and Echocardiography “ was successfully organized at Surgical ICU , Obs. ICU and MOT Class room of Anesthesia Department, SIMS / Services Hospital Lahore . This initiative was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Zohra Khanum Principal Services Institute of Medical Sciences / Services Hospital Lahore and Prof. Liaqat Ali, HOD Department of Anesthesia and Pain management.

The workshop aimed to enhance clinical competence through hands on training, enabling postgraduate trainees and junior doctors to gain confidence and precision in doing ultrasound and echocardiography in emergency and critical care patients.

Prof Dr. Liaqat Ali laid emphasis on patient safety, anatomical understanding, sterile technique and real-time ultrasound visualization on the patients.

Residents of Anesthesia, surgery and Medicine took active participation in learning and doing ultrasound and echocardiography under the Supervision of Professor Dr. Liaqat Ali.

These training workshops play a pivotal role in improving patient safety and healthcare outcomes.
