The SIMS Trauma Rescue Workshop was successfully conducted at the Postgraduate Skill Lab, SIMS/SHL by the Department of General Surgery Unit 1. The workshop was conducted under the patronage of the Principal SIMS, Prof. Dr. Zohra Khanum. The Course Director, Prof. Dr. M. Nadeem Aslam (Professor of Surgery and Incharge PG Skill Lab), gave an introductory address to explain the various key aspects of assessing and managing major trauma. He also emphasized the importance of this workshop to equip doctors with essential skills for the standardized management of trauma patients.

Participants engaged in training under the supervision of our instructors Dr Javeria Arshad (Senior Registrar Surgical Unit 1) and Dr Hafiz M. Hamid (Assistant Professor of Anesthesia) who demonstrated and gave practical training to the attendees on different trauma management stations e.g., airway management, endotracheal tube intubation, application of cervical collar, log rolling technique, safe helmet removal and mechanism of triage of trauma patients. The course received excellent feedback from the attendees, who highlighted its practical value in preparing them to act in a systematic way in managing trauma emergencies.
