Department of Medicine Institute of Medical Sciences/Services Hospital is providing medical, gastroenterology, hepatology & panctreatobiliary care to patients either planned or emergency. The department has been recognized for postgraduate training in Medicine (2006) and Gastroenterology (2009) by CPSP and UHS for Medicine and Gastroenterology since 2018. The focus of the department is to develop and enhance patient’s assessment skills and to identify acute medical care needs within a multidisciplinary context. As a multidisciplinary team, the department promotes a friendly environment for patients and their families, focusing on individualized patient centered care. We also make sure that post graduate trainees and house physicians have ample opportunities and time for academics in Ward and they are encouraged to participate in national events, research and other activities.

EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES:

We teach and train clinical classes of MBBS and Post Graduate trainees of FCPS &MD of both Medicine and Allied. We strive to teach medicine using collaborative, inter-professional model. We want to develop and enhance assessment skills and identify and treat acute medical care needs. As multi-disciplinary teams, we promote a friendly environment among the patients, their families and all the medical and paramedical staff, focusing on individualized patient centered care. The Goal of the Department of Medicine Unit-I is to train physicians who are able to provide comprehensive, high quality, continuous care in urban, rural, or remote settings. We encourage our trainees for academics, research and co-curricular activities. We also maintain a regular calendar for various workshops, presentations, individual assignments, journal club, basic and advanced life support skills, mortality meetings and audits.

The department of Medical unit-1 at services hospital is highly recoganized for undergraduate and postgruate students are trained and monitred for work place based assementt and feedback. In addition to general OPD and the department is also catering the medical emergency thrice a week and sunday special duty once a month.

The department of Medical unit-2 at services hospital is leading medical health facility. It cater teaching and learning needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to general OPD and the department is aslo catering the medical emergency thrice a week and sunday special duty once a month.

Medical Unit- 3

The department of Medical unit-3 at services hospital is providing the best care and health services as well as training skill for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The medical unit-3 is working efficiently by observing virtue and value to serve humanity in best way is possible. In addition to general OPD and the department is aslo catering the medical emergency thrice a week and sunday special duty once a month.

Medical Unit- 4

The department of Medical unit-4 at services hospital is leading surgical health facility. It cater teaching and learning needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to general OPD and elective list the department is aslo catering the trauma center thrice a week and sunday special duty once a month.
