Nephrology and Haemodialysis department of Services hospital, Lahore is one of the largest department of Lahore, Punjab, providing inpatient, outpatient and haemodialysis services round the clock. Our team comprise of Professor/Head of Department, Assistant Professor, 04 Senior Registrars and 08 Post-graduate trainees, 02 senior medical officers and 05 medical officers.

• MD NEPHROLOGY
• ROTATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR BOTH FCPS AND MD Medicine.
• LECTURES FOR UNDERGRADUATES( MBBS STUDENTS)

INFRASTRUCTURE:

The department is well-equipped with essential infrastructure including provision of inpatient, outpatient facilities to all patients with kidney disease as well as hemodialysis services.

NEPHROLOGY DEPARTMENT:

We provide both inpatient and outpatient services to renal patients. We have a 18 bedded indoor department. Our outpatient services are provided on twice per week basis with more than 100 patients per OPD. We also perform procedures like Renal biopsies and insertion of hemodialysis catheters. Apart from this, we also provide consultation services to all patients of kidney failure admitted in medical or surgical floors and the allied departments.

HEMODIALYSIS FACILITIES: We have state of the art hemodialysis facilities providing services round the clock. Almost 30,000 patients are provided hemodialysis services per year on regular basis apart from emergency dialysis services. Our consultants are available round the clock for patient’s services and care.

ACADEMICS AND RESEARCH:

Regular academic activities and workshops are conducted for training of both undergraduates and postgraduate students as well as hemodialysis nursing staffs. Also research activities and synopsis/ thesis writing are being conducted. There are several publications of our department both in local and international journals.

Future prospects are to expand services to include:

• Interventional Nephrology
• Peritoneal Dialysis
• Renal transplant
