Introduction of Department

ENT unit II is a fully functional department consisting of two wards, one male and one female and an HDU. There are total 26 beds, 10 on each male and female side and 6 in HDU .There are two OPD days, three emergency days and two operation theatre days per week. Department has a faculty consisting of the head of department, two assistant professors and two senior registrar. There are six post graduate trainees, one medical officer and six house officers currently working in the department. Our operation theatre is fully equipped with all the latest instruments including a microscope, endoscope and CO2 laser.Mastoid surgery, functional endoscopic sinus surgery, laser surgery and other routine ENT and head and neck and cancer surgery procedures are regularly performed in operation theatre.

Academic sessions for post graduate trainees are conducted regularly in the ward to improve the learning of the residents. Teaching ward rounds are a part of daily training routine for residents. Research work including synopsis, dissertation and article writing is carried out under the supervision of the faculty members who monitor and guide the residents.
